Internships

Opportunity Through Community Pathways

Our interns are given the opportunity to learn all aspects of the organization, including the food shelf and clothesline, through The Marketplace and Unique Finds and our mobile food shelf with Marketplace Delivery. As a result, our organization provides students with a well-rounded internship experience that could fit the needs of many different academic pursuits.

Social Service focused programs can benefit from client interactions through registration interviews, program development and administration through community needs assessments, and community outreach through our community partnerships and programs. Other interns may benefit more from the logistics management of taking in food, clothing, and household goods for our members. Detailed records of all incoming and outgoing supplies are kept and shared for funding and program management purposes.

Our interns will be able to lead group discussions, participate in team meetings, and work directly with clients, volunteers, and staff members.

Duties Can Include:

Processing food and clothing donations (checking, weighing, stocking, and inventory management)

Logistics support (checking in and unloading deliveries, inventory management)

Client interactions (checking in/out, registration process, needs assessment)

Program support (Coordination of Marketplace Delivery, fundraising support for programs or events)

Administrative support (filing, phone and email communications with clients, partners, vendors, etc.)
